Shut it down. Save a lot more than that..., each year.
I once agreed with the idea of shutting down the U.N. and throwing them out of the U.S., however in retrospect I believe it is more to our advantage to keep those America-hating sons o' bitches right there in New York City. Why you ask?
Because it is far easier to conduct continuous and effective surveillance (both physical and electronic) of our enemies when they are right here on U.S. soil.
If the U.N. were kicked out and if they moved to somewhere like Geneva, it would be more difficult to gather intel on foreign soil.
It is a 'feel-good' option to say "kick the U.N. out", but with an Administration that will look after American interests first, keeping those U.N. toadies around gives us greater opportunity to know just what they're up to in their plush U.N. offices all the time.

If the UN were out of NY AND we quit paying the bulk of the cost AND cut off any aid to foreign countries who don’t need it or who hate us, we would have plenty of money for surveillance and to fix our own country. The UN would collapse (mercifully) if we did not pay for it.

I’ve seen folks make an argument that we need to keep the UN around before. In some ways it makes sense. In others, it’s such a problematic anti U. S. institution that I question if it’s worth anything at all to us.
The U. N. is as reflexively anti U. S. as the most citizens of the U. S. are reflexively pro Israel.
It’s just a diseased organization right down to it’s child raping “piece keepers”. Yes, I meant that word.
