Donald Trump came to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, and the host got steamrolled, just like pretty much everyone who has tried to crack the Yakking Enigma That Is Trump ever since he announced his candidacy for President.
Colbert tried flattery (Youre the leader! of the polls, that is), abjectness (I apologize, he said, for mean things hes said about Trump in the past, inviting Trump to apologize to someone, anyone, to no avail), and tossed him a softball question Colbert called a meatball (Barack Obama born in the United States?). Trump, however, wasnt playing: I dont talk about that anymore.
The host also praised Trumps Make America Great Again hat The hat should be your running mate and suggested an addition to Trumps famous wall to separate the U.S. and Mexico: adding a moat filled with fire. If there was any news made in this interview, it was Trump modifying his famous theoretical border wall: He told Colbert he wants it to also have a big fat door, so that immigrants can come into the country legally.
(snip)
Colberts other guest was Secretary of Energy and chief architect of the Iran nuclear deal Dr. Ernest Moniz; before he came on, Colbert had Trump sign a copy of his book The Art of the Deal for Moniz. Trump, a critic of the Iran deal, jokingly signed the book with the inscription, Better luck next time.

Better luck nxt time. Trump is a magnificent scoundrel.
Gotta love it! I have never heard of this Colbert guy, but it sounds like Trump did a bang up up job.
You know, I think that people trash Trump, but when they meet him in person - he overwhelms them. I don’t mean that in a nasty way, but they seem to be in awe of him. It’s like Britt Hume said - “you can’t take your eyes off of him.”
Watch thi if you want to understand with your life itself why Don Trump is destined to be our next President!!

Just like they said about Obama.
I’ve never watched the government comedian Colbert, although I know who he is (I think wasn’t he on Stewart’s show ? (who I’ve never watched either)). I’ve watched very little t.v. in my lifetime. In fact I’ve watched the least amount of t.v. of anyone I know and the fewest movies of anyone I know.
HOORAY Trump
And he admitted to buying politicians.
I’ve only seen a small amount. Which was enough.
The MSM is scared. Lester Holt at NBC is attacking Trump every night with some “story” they’re trying to prop up. So are all the leftist MSM.
Meanwhile, Hillary is cursing at O. Well, no surprise; he’s doing her in and she richly deserves it.
Strange days.
Who the heck wants to watch this train wreck of a show?!?!
The same Colbert who wore a BLM wristband?
Better luck next time.
Classic.
Trump simply pounds him.
About time.
“The MSM is scared. Lester Holt at NBC is attacking Trump every night with some story theyre trying to prop up. So are all the leftist MSM.”
Good. They should be scared, as much as they have abused their position of trust. They are lucky they are not dangling from lightposts. They have deliberately sought to destroy this nation from within.
Their ownly defense is that they had “good intentions”.
Not nearly good enough, but it will save almost all of them from jail.
Who was elected twice!
Thanks very much, Ferris (my all-time favorite “fun” movie).
The One
The Other One.
there’s just something basically unwholesome about both of them.
the DonaldZombies should descend on this message within 4-3-2-1
And the video in my opinion shows why he will probably get the Republican nomination and why he will probably be the next President of the United States.
I have watched Colbert a couple of times. A smarmy far leftist who destroys defenseless opponents because he owns the mike.
His whole schtick is to make observations loaded with false premises that are never questioned.
He is the epitome of the modern progressive - all emotion, no tolerance for any other world views, any facts not supportive of his viewpoints are ignored.
Just watched the first half -> this is the best I’ve seen him. Good. The libby audience must have been expecting a show and he probably bored them with good leadership. I think he’ll be stealing a number of votes from dems ... people who will not necessarily be brave enough to state in front of others (libs are cowards and followers but not afraid to do things about which they are ashamed in secret) for whom they are actually going to vote.
Woohoo! Sweeeet.
