In all fairness, the 24 hour news programs were not in full swing in Reagan’s day. They didn’t have the ability to coordinate to almost destroy a candidate in hours.
You didn’t have a massive internet with Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
We live in a different information age. Our candidate cannot allow the other team to conduct operations on these battle-grounds un-responded to.

Let me explain where I’m coming from with Ann.
It takes decades to live down racism. We avoid it like the plague here because nothing will turn support off faster than racism.
One day Ann references the Jews in the U. S. as “F—king Jews”. You think that isn’t seen by the Left? You think they won’t exploit that? They do their best to color us as racists all the time.
They seen Ann use that language. They paint her for what she is for using that language. And then they point to Free Republican with her articles all over it.
You think that goes unnoticed?
I haven’t read this article by Ann. I won’t be reading it. I don’t approve of her article being printed here.
All that is going to do is advance the Leftist mantra that we are all racists.

I have similar conservative Jewish friends who also cannot stand what Liberal Jews do, both in business, media and politics.

I'll grant you, it's politically incorrect, but I disagree. I simply don't believe Ann meant it in the way which some people took it.
In the admittedly un-PC way she used the comment, I simply didn't see it as racist. That adjective can be used in different ways, and those who were offended ascribed an intent which simply wasn't present, IMHO.

In all fairness to California’s predicament, a lot of conservatives (and their votes!) have moved out of the state and left it to the ever-growing base of liberals.
