I prefer Cruz, too. He's my number one guy. Sadly, he's not making any inroads, and I believe that the GOPe strategy of marginalizing Cruz and giving us Jeb was going to be successful. It took a new paradigm to overcome the RNC's plans.

Think about it. What's the most important Republican state? Texas. Which one is second? Florida. What are the other important ones? SC, Indiana, MO. Then there are the purple states that we need to do well in. NC, VA, Ohio. Why do you think the RNC goes Iowa, NH and then open primary in lots of Republican states?

If the RNC started in Texas, and Cruz won, who would be the front runner? Wouldn't that make sense, if you were a Republican party that wanted to elect Republicans? But that's not what they do.

Cruz was going nowhere. As much as I wanted him to catch fire and win NH, and then move on to Super Tuesday with a SC win and jump into the lead, it just was not happening. He is, however, putting in a good showing at raising funds, staying true to his principles and getting a decent amount of support. He will be at the top of the VP list, and even if not VP, I think Trump would rely on him heavily in some capacity.

Thus, what I have said in the past holds true: If you favor Cruz, support Trump. As I told a friend of mine recently, if things were different, if Cruz had 22 and Trump 25 and it was a horse race, yeah I'd do all I could to get Cruz over the hump so that he can be the guy picking court nominees and VPs and all that. But he's at 7 and it's not getting better, and it does not appear that it could get better, given what the RN and the media have arrayed against him. They are good at the one thing they do--nominate globalists who they control.

So, your supposed conservative purity is either stupidity (for not understanding the situation), naïveté, or intentional trolling on behalf of the GOPe. I don't care enough about your posts to try to figure out which it is. I just know that if we follow your advice, we would end up with Jeb Bush losing to the Dem nominee.

You’re mistaken in every way.

Cruz is the direction that the money is going, thus is the one that will be standing when the rest have expended their meager cash.

That is something that fake polls can’t deal with.

Supporting Trump is childish ‘logic.’

Cheering his bombast is one thing, but looking to him for the future indicates a lack of personal development.

The one thing that is certain in this election is that Trump cannot get the nomination by any means. Those not now supporting him view him as an inappropriate candidate at best, and more likely as election suicide, just like Perot.
