GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Chief Strategist Jason Johnson spoke exclusively to Breitbart News after Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker suspended his campaign and encouraged other candidates to do the same to clear the field.
The laws of political reality tend to dictate these things, and thats primarily each campaigns fundraising and their ability to manage the money that donors have given them, Johnson explained.
He added that each candidates support among voters is also part of the laws of political reality.
I can tell you for the Ted Cruz campaign, we will continue to charge ahead and spread the message that theres only one candidate in this race with a proven record of standing up to the leadership of both parties when theyre out of step with the American people and specially the leadership of both parties in Washington, D.C., which is the source of the problem, he added.
Walker decided to end his presidential campaign in order to clear the field in this race on Monday, adding, I encourage other presidential candidates to do the same.
All candidates who are still in the race, candidates who have recently dropped out are obviously there Gov. Perry and Gov. Walker both have great records within their states and have every right to offer advice, but more than advice from any particular candidate or former candidate is going to be the laws of political reality, Johnson concluded.

The establishment want momentum for Jeb.
I’m all in for Cruz...been that way since day one.
From your lips to God's ears. Cruz or lose.
Jeb will build momentum like a square rock being rolled trying to be rolled up a hill..
No one was listening to Walker before he quit, so he thinks someone will listen now?
I agree.
Jeb’s even more boring and milquetoast than Mitt or McCain.
Translation: Sorry, Scott, but Ted’s war chest is still full!
If Walker was serious, he would have called on Christie, Miss. Lindsey, Huckster, and Kasich to drop out.
As it is, it’s just sour grapes.
Walker's parting shot left no doubt that he's an establishment guy posing as a Constitutional Conservative. I wonder if Walkers half-dozen or so votes will stay with the establishment.
US citizens are waking up, so it seems. Walker did not fool anyone.
Gilmore is nobody and nowhere. He should declare in the next few days, as should any candidate who hasn't polled over 2 percent in more than one state.
Cruz trains his spox-folks well.
They come off as an extension of himself: straightforward, not wavering, yet with class and grace.
>> A dozen GOP candidates need to drop away, but Carson, Cruz, and Trump are not among them.
You nailed it.
Walker goes out confirming my first instincts about him. He was a Cheap Labor Express candidate and wants the field cleared for an amnesty candidate.
They come off as an extension of himself: straightforward, not wavering, yet with class and grace.
That's my observation also.
When it’s all done, Cruz will have risen to #3 behind Trump and Carson. He will be the only pol to survive.
I send Ted Cruz 25 dollars every week.
” Let’s clear the field and take down Trump . “ Screw you Scotty boy .
Cruzin’ to 2016! My guy from day one.
“A dozen GOP candidates need to drop away, but Carson, Cruz, and Trump are not among them.
You nailed it.
“
PLUS CARSON and you have a ticket!
We do not need a gun control TROLL to be prez!
