People still realize Trump will be beholden to no one but himself and the voters, though anyone else who might win the nomination (for EITHER party) will essentially be owned by rich and powerful individuals and organizations who raise the thousands of millions of dollars of the necessary campaign “contributions”.
The Koch brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Tom Steyer, George Soros, and all the other billionaires are totally hosed if Trump is elected President because they’ll have no one to buy. Even Trump just being nominated means they’ll ALL be forced to buy the Democrat nominee, because that will be the only candidate on the auction block. Sucks to be a billionaire these days.
Bingo and that’s why his support is sustaining itself. Every other person running in that race has to please their rich donors including Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.
In your post is the secret to trumps popularity: his base is VERY broad. He is not the conservatives’ choice. He is the choice of the pi$$ed off, which includes liberals, moderates and conservatives.
If he wins the nomination, he wins the presidency. And that is what scares me.
