Eleanor returned to the White House one day from a doctor's appointment, and informed FDR that the doctor said she was in fine health, and that FDR responded "did the doctor mention your fat ass, and what you might do about it?"

To which Eleanor said "no dear, your name never came up".

And reportedly, FDR roared in laughter.
