MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Warning the GOP's presidential race has become too nasty, Scott Walker suspended his 2016 campaign on Monday and called on some of his Republican rivals to do the same, citing an urgent need to "clear the field" to help defeat GOP front-runner Donald Trump.
"Today, I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive conservative message can rise to the top of the field. With that in mind, I will suspend my campaign immediately," Walker said in a Madison press conference.

I admit that I primarily just read the posted section. I did click on the link and scanned the text for around 10 seconds, and I didn't see any actual criticism of Trump. Maybe it was buried in the transcript - in which case I'd retract my defense.
I also agree that his remarks were muddled, and he should have taken an opportunity to take a swing at our real enemies - the Media and the stooges that they prop up.
What harsh words? I heard his announcement in its entirety (twice) and he never mentioned another candidate by name or said anything bad about anybody. He said he wanted a positive campaign with suggestions for building a better America and said that he felt called to use his abilities as leader to help clear the field so that the voters could concentrate on fewer candidates. He mentioned “front runners” but never named anybody.
So stop reporting bogus gossip.
Look what your report has engendered — name calling, back biting, character assasination.
What these candidates (maybe) don’t realize is that when they attack Trump, they attack his supporters... who are 1/4 to 1/3 of primary voters. And we have long memories.
I think his great future is now very local. Who knows what the Geriatric Old Plotters are breathing into his ears though.

On everything but immigration Trump’s history is to the left of the GOP-E. Would people be backing Mitt Romney if he was singing the right song on illegals?
No doubt. I have said it for years. We are infiltrated with liberals. GOP or DNC doesn’t really matter.
When you have people that back candidates anti 2a, anti social issues and pro illegal, you have a liberal. The sooner we collectively rid ourselves of liberals the sooner we fix what sickens America.

Walker drew first blood and attacked Trump after his mcstain comments. Trump hit only after walker criticized him first. Walker couldn’t take the heat so now he’s DONE. One less wussy RINO in the race, thank God!

Keep in mind this report came from a MADISON paper (read far left Communist symps) and it seems that they have made up their concusions in the headline with no relationship to the words actually spoken.
I attacked Romney on everything he said as it was a lie. I am not Trumps biggest chearleader either. I don’t trust him.
Walker was bought and paid for. He went to the COC FIRST for his campaign cash. The COC is pro illegal. What he did as gov matters not at all when your president is a tool of the liberal lobby.
He definitely said take out the front runner. What are you reading? He definitely didn’t mention his name, but everyone knows who the front runner is.

I think Walker was a great Governor. He inherited a state that was corrupt and almost bankrupt. He took on the union bosses and really improved things.
I think Walker started out as a good presidential candidate. Then his top fundraiser called Trump “dumb dumb”. Then Walker started to merely parrot the MSM attacks on Trump and patriotic conservatives.
Then came this speech.
It is best Walker ends his campaign.
I sent Walker a few replies to his requests for funds telling him no more as I was for Trump. I have been hit on by every Rep including Cruz again today who says he needs $150,619 for an even million for Sep.
There is nothing to throw. That is why he is gone.
