Which is why, absent an Amendment, Cruz is correct on this.
It still sucks. And, I wish Cruz were a strident practitioner of Constitutional Principles. He gets it right most of the time but has made some baffling voting decisions.
We all know there's no religious test in the Constitution. We didn't need the self aggrandizing lecture where Cruz once again tries to demonstrate he's the smartest guy in the room..
The fact that Cruz wouldn't/couldn't bring himself to state clearly that islam is a theocracy, and therefore incompatible with the United States Constitution and our form of Government is a HUGE disappointment.
One would've thought Cruz was smarter than to pander to the mooslimes, but that's exactly what he just did.
Up to about this point I kinda liked Cruz but after this, he's dead to me.
