Raymon Carter, age 24, pleaded guilty on September 16 to the federal crime of rioting on April 27, including the arson of the now infamous Baltimore CVS that was at the center of the unrest after the death of Freddie Gray in police custody.
“Anyone who considers participating in a riot should know that police, prosecutors and citizens will track them down and send them to prison”, U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein said.
As part of his plea agreement, Carter faces four years in prison and will be required to pay restitution.

The mayor wants to know if he will have room to riot in prison.
I’m sure this skilled trial lawyer and entrepreneur will be able to just write a check for restitution.

Question: Does anyone from Baltimore know if Judge Hollander is related to former Baltimore politicos of the Hollander family including Sidney, a far-left liberal, and a possible Sidney Hollander Jr?
A 1930’s/40’s Sidney Hollander shows up in a lot of Communist Party USA fronts and causes and I want to know if he was the same person from Baltimore.
The Hollander family had a pretty good reputation for being reasonable liberals but there might have been a red sheep in the family.
Inquiring minds want to know.

Wishful thinking. I located the Hollander family information except for his kids. There was the father Sidney Hollander, and his son SH Jr. Their lives overlapped in the 1930’s/40’s so I have to find original govt hearings to see which one is in Appendix IX though I suspect it was the father (Sr).
Liberals but also dupes for some communist fronts. The question is whether the judge who is sentenced the CVSA arsonist is SH’s granddaughter, i.e. the daughter of SH Jr, because they might explain her liberal bent in her sentencing thoughts.
Arson is both a state and federal crime and has not been taken seriously during the riots since Ferguson. If you sentence any caught/convicted arsonist on all charges, you could send them away for 20 years, which would really make a statement as to what awaits future, in-training arsonists.
Right now 4 years is a joke, as is “restitution” from street rabble.
We never learn, and Baltimore has been a poster-boy city for how not to enforce the law, on how not to protect the lives of the innocent, on how the media can get fooled by street-smart punks and Marxist agitators and con-artists.
A late mentor of mine was both a civil and criminal court judge in Baltimore. He was tough but fair, as his specialty was helping youth stay on the straight and narrow.
He would be ashamed of what his beloved city has become.

Baltimore has become an obvious warning about the futility/folly of investing anything within a short distance of hordes of people with no stake in anything. It also reinforces the point that no area can have a re-birth while such people are still present; mass relocation, and a mass re-colonization by people with “skin in the game”, is the only answer.
