NASHVILLE, September 17, 2015 On Thursday, almost a thousand conservative Christians gathered at the Tennessee state capitol for a rally today that featured many Republican legislators prepared to fight the Supreme Courts decision on gay marriage.

Screw the SCOTUS. The 10th still stands. If they want to go to war over their deluded world views, they are more than welcome to do so.
Great news!
If it passes, I will consider myself a citizen of Tennessee.
It is about time! Now the states need to make abortion against the law.
“...Tennessee Lawmakers Introduce Bill...”

Is the Tennessee legislature still in session?
Or is the headline misleading?
Consider that if the 17th Amendment had never been ratified then Tennessee lawmakers would probably also be doing the following.
In addition to making a state law to nullify constitutionally unprotected gay marriange, Tennessee lawmakers would also be contacting the state’s federal senators to do the following. They would be asking their senators to lead the Senate to work with the House to impeach and remove from office the activist justices who stole 10th Amendment-protected state power to legislate the so-called right to gay marriage from the bench.
The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators and the pro-gay activist justices that they confirm and then refuse to remove from the bench as well.
Outstanding!
I might need to move to there.
i think I may have started the SCRTOS thing. But,,,, every State was set up as a separate Republic.
Tennessee leads the way back toward sanity. Every other state with a conservative majority needs to get on board. Let’s make this the showdown issue of our generation.
Excellent! Hopefully, by the time it gets to SCOTUS, the new president will have appointed three or four constitutionalists to the Court.
President Andrew Jackson once said in reference to a “bad” Supreme Court ruling: They ruled, now let THEM (emphasis added) enforce it.
Time to invoke the 10th Amendment. Good on Tennessee.
No, the legislature is not in session. Won’t be until next January, so this won’t be dealt with until then.
But many of them stay busy the rest of the year and their bills are introduced at the beginning of the session to be voted on, as this one will be.
Now we just have to wait to see where this goes.
Now we just have to wait to see where this goes.

I'm doing that, for sure. And I need to go have a chat with our state rep. to see where he stands on it. He's been pretty good about being on the right side of issues but I don't know where he stands on this.
