I hope you never see shingles either. After 2 1/2 years, I’m still having residual effects. I think my doc thinks I’m faking it in order to get a script for a “controlled substance”—Lyrica. Not so...it’s very expensive and it’s the only thing that quiets the itching, burning, creepy-crawly feeling under my skin where the shingles messed up my nerve endings. sigh [whine-whine]
EG...wish you’d have picked a name I didn’t have to copy and paste in order to ping you! LOL! I do get the significance, but...... :)
Right thigh. There is almost a circle around her right thigh. Looks kind of like a decorative leg necklace! ;-)
Pain is from her hip down to her knee.
I can’t get shingles. I had chicken pox at age 50! ROFL
Yeah, I caught a lot of good-natured heat for that so that now I can tease everyone else!
PHBLTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
The itching is not bothering her. The pain in her leg is excruciating although she will not admit it.
She is taking two meds both of which are too hard to pronounce or spell. One is for the itching, the other for the pain. “Lyrica” is easy to spell. These two are like they are spelled in a foreign language. ;-)
The one for the pain pretty much keeps her in sleep or zombie mode. I have to say that she is a real trooper. Never complains. Still does her normal things. And, of course, she just HAD to go buy her lotto tickets the other day!
After reading many posts on FR complaining about the “spelling police”, “grammar police” and “punctuation police” that is how I came up with the nickname. ;-)
However, I do not dare try to correct anyone’s spelling, grammar or punctutaion, else I get flamed but the nick has caused amusement! ROFL
