Ted Cruz on Republican Leadership: ‘We’ve Got a Bunch of Weenies’
Breitbart ^ | 9/17/15 | AlexSloyer

Posted on 09/18/2015 5:48:48 PM PDT by VinL

In a radio interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz slammed GOP leadership, saying that on the Republican side, “We’ve got a bunch of weenies.”

Hannity asked why Cruz is the only one in the Senate who seems to be standing up for conservative promises and being vocal about it.

“If you look at the left, if you look at Barack Obama, or Sen. Reid or Pelosi they are committed to their liberal principles. They are commited to their policy agenda that frankly is destroying this country.” Cruz explained, “They will crawl over broken glass with a knife between their teeth to advance their policy agenda.”

“On our side, we’ve got a bunch of weenies!”

Cruz explained that in every fight between Obama and Congressional leadership, Congress surrenders. He points to funding Obama’s executive amnesty, among other policies, if Obama threatens a veto.

Cruz said the GOP leadership has buckled to Obama’s veto threat repeatedly and predicts that it will happen again regarding the Congressional budget in regards to funding Planned Parenthood.

Cruz questioned, “What the heck is the point of having elections if the people we elect won’t stand and fight?”

He said GOP leadership has one tactic, “surrender.”

He explained that Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) 41% sent a public letter, which Cruz stated is reflective of GOP leadership, stating, “Their view is, unless you can get 67 Senators on board, it’s not worth doing.”

Cruz challenged that when Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) 52% is up for reelection, he should have to tell his constituents, “I will only do what Harry Reid agrees because I need 67 Senators, I need Democrats, so I will hand over my vote to Harry Reid.”

“You don’t see Democrats saying that,” Cruz challenged.

The fact that the most radical far left president this nation has ever been forced to suffer has only vetoed 4 pieces of legislation is rather telling.

GOP leadership are democrats.

Sounds like The Donald is starting to rub off a bit on Ted. Can’t hurt.

Kelly CAyotte is no friend to the second branch of government either. She is out preaching “Cede it all, brother, cede it all, to the big meanie in the White House.”

Never fight unless you are promised the win. Never swing for the fences, if there’s a risk of a hang nail.

Your statement is technically true (and I don’t want to denounce Trump), but let’s not forget the spine Cruz exhibited during 2013. He came very close towards single-handedly stopping the debt ceiling from being raised. If the GOP was actually made up of conservatives, he would have succeeded.

Is there any way to head this off?

His list of pardons will make MS-13 members look like Mother Teresa.

Ted’s principles have nothing to do with The Donald. He was elected to the Senate from Texas on these very principles.

I think what happened was, until 2014 they had enough RINOs to do the bomb’s bidding. Then the next conservative wave came in and they had the leadership, but not enough libs anymore so they started caucusing with the rats and not even trying to hide it. The water keeps rising and it’s going to wash them away. I hope. Not that many democrats up there any more. Nor in the state governments, except for the strongholds. We’re going to need more prisons, I hope.

Hey Rita— interesting week— They’re going after your guy with the media creation, but as we discussed, they can’t take him down from the left. I think the Donald survives this hit.

Sounds like The Donald is starting to rub off a bit on Ted.

I must have missed Trump criticizing McConnell and Boehner.

Link?

“Sounds like The Donald is starting to rub off a bit on Ted. “

Sorry, I have to disagree. Cruz has been standing against the establishment since long before Trump got into the picture. That’s how he got elected.

You think? :)

Thanks so much for checking in.

The Left apparently doesn’t have to even try to take down Trump, what with the RNC falling on their sword to oblige the lefty media debate agendas, the panelists themselves committed to carrying them out and our candidates forced into an exhausting pile on, if they wanted the most time to speak at all.

You know better than I what’s coming from the Right. Republicans have always willingly exhibited their spine and ability for combat best, when it’s against other Republicans.

I was thinking today, our candidates have had easily 12-14 weeks of a virtually Democrat free field, the Democrat front runner wounded and now perhaps mortally, and yet look at the Republicans, at war against one candidate because he is an SOB, an outsider, and may blow up the corrupt GOP.

Worse, if Trump can’t fend off these GOP, Wall Street, K Street, CoC &@$tards, I would seriously like to see who can.

Only their own candidate— Jeb Bush. Maybe Kasich, or Fiorina. Ugh.

What a deal, huh?
