Trump is showing that it is not that hard to talk to the guy.
And honestly, give me a break. Obama is getting tens of thousands of people killed and palling up to Iran . Saying that Trump is cozying up to dictators is a bit much.
This will come back to hurt him if he does it.
Anything Putin or his troops do down the road - and they will - you don’t think a desperate NY times and DNC won’t hesitate to make the connection?
Instead, Trump should put out a statement like, “I’ll meet with Putin only when his Russian forces are fully withdrawn from sovereign Ukrainian territory”. Now THAT would get world attention, plus a lot of respect in Eastern Europe.
