Did Hugh Hewitt go too far in defending CNN’s debate format which severely limited his questioning and gave Trump twice as much time as some other candidates? Mika certainly thinks so!

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

Trump deserved twice the time. Fiorina did not deserve to be on the stage . The first half of the debate was a johnny pile on trump

Hewitt’s angling to become CNN’s house conservative. Can’t crack the line-up at Fox, so he’ll play nice at CNN and hope Jeff Zucker offers him a full-time gig.

Before the debate, I (mistakenly) assumed that Hewitt would get as many opportunities to question the candidates as Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Watching the debate, it appeared as though Tapper asked 80% of the questions, while Bash and Hewitt got a chance about every 30-45 minutes.

Hugh really was the invisible man during the debate and that’s a shame, because he is a very insightful interviewer.

Yes, especially after reading his comments before the debate about his “grid” to see that all candidates were fairly allotted time and that it would be about issues not personal attacks. CNN would destroy the GOP and they love the GOP compared to how they view “Conservatives”. The GOP is stupid for trusting these people to run the debates unless they want this kind of performance, which I don’t doubt.
