You want to see what ISIS/Muslims have planned for public schools in America? Go read ‘Day of Wrath’ by William Forstchen...don’t ignore this ‘fictional’ warning, parents.

I wonder if the 2 princesses in the WH will be forced to meet the “clock” maker.

Oh, that. Yeah that just turned out to be an innocent metal briefcase with just some clock parts in it, nothing to see move along ....

I’m 68...Actually I can’t find a recording of Faron Young singing it. I suppose I heard him on one of the country music shows.

The Fendermen’s version actually made it to no. 5 on the Billboard charts in 1960. Most of the members were from my state, Wisconsin. They called themselves The Fendermen because they played Fender guitars, Strats and Telecasters. That was their one and only hit.

I started listening to a transistor radio in the sometime '60's, and even in Boston, this song was popular

I had no clue what was being said ... or why ... but we liked the funny sounds the guy was singin'

I can still see one of my boyhood friends singing "put the buck, buck, bucket down" while laughing hysterically. I first thought it was one of the novelty songs that were prevalent in those days. It was only later as an adult I discovered it was actually a traditional American folk song.
