Thanks!
Your numbers are very different from mine, and I just grabbed mine right after the debate from another post that did not name a source, so I think your numbers are more credible.
“One thing about Cruz is he gets more time to discuss then most of the candidates. “
Here are the times, in case you want to base your comments on real events..
Trump: 18:47
Bush: 15:48
Fiorina: 13:30
Carson: 12:56
Christie: 12:36
Rubio: 11:21
Cruz: 10:45
Paul: 10:28
Kasich: 9:44
Huckabee: 9:20
Walker: 8:29
Patience, grasshopper. Over a year to go.
Actually, your NPR times do not match the current NPR article here:
http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2015/09/16/440827414/on-the-clock-who-spoke-the-longest
Post #19 matches the current NPR numbers.
Although I didn’t see the whole debate, that really annoyed me when Tapper didn’t let Cruz talk about his global warming skepticism. I almost wish he did a Reagan ‘I’m paying for this’ kind of thing, but he didn’t get a chance. Too many people on stage I guess, but the real reason was the lib media really didn’t want him to speak IMO.
Thanks.....Poor Walker. He is the one we should all be sympathetic towards. Clearly he was ignored. To be honest in 3 hours none of them really spoke that much. 18 minutes isn’t even a ton.
Thanks.....poor Walker.
Imagine if this had not been a 3-hour debate. Cruz might have had just 6-7 minutes.
The 3-hour debate was a good length.
I love that chart. Awesome. Thanks.
Why are Bush and Fiorina getting so much blah blah time? That’s the big question.
Carly and Cruz used their time well.
Trump spent most of his time defending himself on irrelevant points.
The only thing I remember Bush saying is that he didn’t inhale.
I love cruz’s positions but he really does not sound genuine when he delivers. Too polished. Too practiced. He’s got his talking points down and delivers them way to smoothly. I like what he says but someone who doesn’t know him would consider him a used car salesman.
These debates mean little to nothing
???
You must be new to politics. Now days a candidate wins with charisma, personality and looks, (Obama). Its sad but many pick/disqualify because of this and not their views.
With so many running these debates are of the utmost importance.
Of those in the debate I like Ted Cruz the best. I believe he would make a great VP on my ticket.
Trump is a buffoon. Carly seemed to focused on the “woman issues.”
My impression is that Cruz is playing a long game. He is content to raise money and travel the country beating the ground to gain grass root support. I think he is waiting for the herd to thin out and trying to build enough support to advance with the final group. Once the herd is thinned, I would look for him to start firing a bit more.
references to total talk time please
Cruz has a terrible speaking voice and delivery... I realize his supporters adore him, and while I agree with him politically, his presence is “plastic.”
New?
Son, Do you remember where Bush 1 was at this point in his bid for reelection? Do you know who the front runner was in the GOP race in Sept. 2007? How about the Dem front runner?
Get a clue, boy. GHWB, Giuliani and Hillary were all doing well a year plus before the election. But they lost.
Maybe an intellectual like Cruz just can’t get elected at this point because he doesn’t connect well with the average dumb American. Sad to say.
