Thank you, Kathy. No problem catching up. I really do appreciate the Canteen threads, even if I just kind of lurk around.

The kids in my “We The People” unit are good kids, very smart, but I’m afraid that at age 17 or 18, most of them have been pretty well indoctrinated. They all believe homosexual “marriage” is and should be a protected right.

It makes me sad. I wonder how long they will let me keep doing this.

PS: If you wonder why I take the time to get up early and go “coach” these kids, and teach the high school Sunday School class, and coached many years in youth baseball, it’s easy.

I was a prosecutor for 18 years, and now have a public defender contract that includes the defense of juveniles. I want to know that there are still good kids in the world. And I want to make a difference for them. It breaks my heart to see young people throw their lives away.
