She's an abortionist and a big government statist. -- Jim Robinson (5/25/2010, 5:21:20 PM)
She's had as much time as Trump yet barely made the stage. The stacked audience claps every time she opens her mouth. The only thing she's done for herself was the pp answer.
OF CANDYLAND.
Ditto that!
Huckabee was awesome tonight.Give him that!
Trump almost made Carly cry.... I wonder what Putin would do?
Trump’s response was weak. A flat-tax won’t require “H&R Block”. Because “we’ve had a progressive tax rate for many years” doesn’t mean it’s right...
-— OMG why the heck does Jake Tapper start every single question with This is what Trump believes... -—
The first candidate to rebuke the mods for this will get a BIG win.
Thank you for reminding me of that. THAT is the ONE issue for me !
Carson seems really tired, not quite right tonight.
WHAT AN IDIOT THING TO SAY !!!
this debate is too long, too many people, not exciting
Walker talking way too fast to get his script in.
Good response from Trump and dead silence from the audience.
I doubt anyone is going to fix it. Just red meat for primary votes. It is ALL just hot air. Trump certainly has no track record on any of this.
I’m not impressed. This is not a debate is is a catastrophic event allowed by the Right to allow the Left COMPLETELY BYPASS THE REAL ISSUES AND INSTEAD GET THESE CANDIDATES TO FIGHT WITH EACH OTHER.
ENOUGH!!!
I hope I don’t ever watch another one of these things until the rules change. What rules? What should change? Glad you asked.
An actual debate format:
1) Moderators are in the background.
2) Subjects are chosen by a) the candidates themselves b) a poll of Americans
3) SAME ISSUE FOR EVERYONE TO DEAL WITH. NO “HE SAID SHE SAID BULL SH*T. ISSUES FACING AMERICA, NOT POLITICAL B.S.
4) If a two-hour session, probably four or five subjects. These should include: 1) the size of the federal government and what portion is unconstitutional 2) defense of the U.S. 3) immigration and secure borders 4) the economy: what is hurting the economy and what are the solutions.
5) First hour: a) one subject at a time, probably 15 minutes per subject b) give each candidate a 30-second introductory statement about where they stand on the subject c) open up the discussion on that subject to all candidates d) moderators step in if a yelling match ensues or if one guy is not allowing others to speak.
6) Second Hour: moderators (or maybe other candidates) ask a candidate a question about what they said in the debate with equal time given to each candidate to be asked and answer a question about what they said in the actual debate.
Until something like this happens, I hope I never see another one of these TOTAL SHAMS.
Big losers in the debate tonight was Jebbie, Kasich and Rand Paul. Others seem to be doing well. Carson has been improving as the night goes on.
Trump needed to ignore Carly tonight. We all knew going in that she had been picked to take him down. Apparently, he didn’t get the email.
