I don't appreciate nothing the damned fool has said thus far.
I have often said that I would vote for the republican candidate before I'd vote for any democrat.
In this case, I may reconsider.
We don't need no stinkin' Yebs!
If that statement doesn’t sink him, no statement will.
He can run for President of Mexico.
True. True.
“His father was the first politician to use the phrase “New World Order” in a speech when he was President.”
Maybe for a president, but Hitler liked to use the phrase.
I was watching an old Three Stooges once, where they were posing as spys, etc., in the midst of some Nazi officers. When they are outed, the Nazi pulled a gun on them and says: “I arrest you in the name of the New World Order!!”
Dig, dig, dig, dig.
Just keep diggin, Jebby. Your are almost at the bottom. PUTZ!!!
This dangerous jerk must be stopped at any cost from getting anywhere near the nomination.
Let’s cut to the nub of it.
What he’s saying is that the general populace has no right to resist the will of the elites.
We seem to no longer remember Prescott Bush the Nazi sympathizer daddy of GHWB.
“There’s a 10th amendment to our country, the Bill of Rights has a 10th amendment that says powers are given to the states to create policy”
The tenth amendment grants to the states all powers not expressly delegated to the Federal government by the Constitution.
It doesn’t grant states the right to abrogate the other nine Bill of Rights.
FUJB!!
I didn’t think W was a NWO believer. He pounced on Kerry in one of the debates that Kerry wanted to subject his US policies first to a ‘global test’.
Now? I don’t know for sure anymore, especially I’m done ‘defending’ Dubya for his last two years in office.
Back to Jeb!, I’ll bet real dollars that his presence didn’t draw a huge crowd comparing to Trump’s appearance.
For me, I don’t judge Jeb! because of his last name, I reject Jeb! because of his stance on almost everything I hold important.
I’m thinking Jeb really doesn’t want to win and is running to please someone else. Question is, who is he trying to please?
Or doesn’t care. “We don’t need no stinkin’ badges.”
“each state had the right to legislate gun ownership as they see fit”
He’s right. The Constitution gives the feds NO AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER over gun ownership. It is definitely a states’ issue.
REMEMBER: it is the FEDS, NOT THE STATES, that are a threat to gun ownership. Also remember, it is the FEDS, NOT THE STATES that have banned prayer and the Bible in public schools, forced integration and affirmative action, and overturned state anti-abortion laws and statebvanti-gay-marriage laws.
When outside their constitutional limits, the FEDS are the GREATEST THREAT TO AMERICA’S WELL-BEING.
He will always be the GOPe pick.
States have more right to regulate freedom of religion and freedom of speech (”CONGRESS shall make no law...”) than they do regulating the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Not exactly a Constitutional scholar, is he? It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he can’t even cite the essence of the first ten amendments to the Constitution
The Bill of Rights - the first ten amendments to the Constitution, GUARANTEES a number of personal freedoms to all Americans, limits the government’s power in judicial and other proceedings, and reserves some powers to the states and the public. The essence of the 10th Amendment is that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by the Constitution. And, although it has been ignored, misapplied and misused in a number of recent cases, the 14th Amendment, which was passed during Reconstruction, limits the actions of all state and local officials, including those acting on behalf of such an official.
As such at least in theory and notwithstanding recent history, the Constitution guarantees personal freedoms including the right to keep and bear arms; the 10th Amendment (powers of the states) does not give states the power to overrule those guaranteed freedoms; and the 14th Amendment limits the ability of state and local officials to deny those rights at least ostensibly.
Bush strikes me as yet another guy with a pen and a phone who would be likely to enforce those laws (and yes, the Constitution is the underpinning of our laws) with which he agrees and overlook those with which he does not agree. Another proponent of the Constitution is a living document philosophy
“Hes right. The Constitution gives the feds NO AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER over gun ownership. It is definitely a states issue.”
You need to take a civics lesson. The US Constitution contains a Bill of RIGHTS, not Bill of Federal Restrictions.
How many will come on here and condemn Jeb for his comment, yet will support Trump, who has actually donated to Bloomberg’s anti-gun campaign?
I have no interest in either progressive.
