To me, events such as Comicon are one of the most positive things that have developed in the last few decades. I say this because Comicon and similar conventions have allowed former stars to maintain some kind of revenue stream and a degree of fame from their former stardom.

I went to one last year with a small group (I was a last-minute tag-along) that featured Babylon 5. I spent the most time talking to Andrea Thompson about her days at CNN. She now sells real estate in Los Angeles.
