Guns are not to be used unless there is a lethal situation.
You do not shoot to wound. You only shoot to kill.
This “air bag” feature breaks ever rule of engagement.
If there is not a lethal situation don’t use your gun in the first place.
There is too much going on, too many things can change, to mess with this added step.
You don’t want to die? Do what that officer instructs you to do.
It’s your best chance of survival, and you can argue it out after the event.
