Millions of (and growing - Obamacare, terrorism) public sector employees see "dues" automatically deducted from their paychecks that are then overwhelming transferred into the hands of Democrat Party activism and elections.

It appears that quite a few FReepers disagree with Gov Scott Walker's "attack" on public sector unions.

I’ve been saying this for years. NO GOV UNIONS.
You are already working for the biggest union.

This would be a good thing. Walker is one of the few who understands that in order to defeat the left, they have to be defunded. Defunding them anywhere defunds them everywhere, and eliminating public unions would be a great way to eliminate their power.

I propose a McMansion for every family, a Cadillac in every driveway and a minimum income of $100,000. Vote for my fantasy ideas...

I hope that Gov Walker continues to do great things for the State of Wisconsin and works closely with President Cruz to spread his ideas throughout the entire Country.

-—”a national “right-to-work law”

What’s that? Sounds like a left-wing idea.

Nobody has a “right” to job.

Other than that, Walker is right on.

Excellent and much more important than building a ‘wall’. The real enemy is government. The whole illegal immigration issue is just the symptom. Without massive government interference in American life the elites wouldn’t get away with it.

Abolish unions
Fire drones
Cancel pensions
Hire Temps
Implement accountability

It wouldn’t be anywhere near as incompetent, corrupt and outrageously wasteful as it is now.

I hope Walker gets the chance to make his case for dealing with public worker unions. Tho with the Trump show dominating all and eleven people (plus the questioners) he may have to lay out his plans to deal with unions no matter what he gets asked.

They should have moved Christie, Paul and Kasich to the early debate.

Maybe they do a lot behind the scenes, but offhand I couldn’t tell you one thing my federal union did for me.

Public employee unions are unconstitutional, in that their “contracts” bind future legislatures to tax and to spend, thereby negating the authority of the people to govern themselves.

Scott Walker will be out of the race in a month, so why pay attention to anything he ‘announces’. Besides he’ll just change his mind next week if a reporter presses him

Until the time it (hopefully) goes through, make it illegal for any entity that cannot pull the voting lever to donate time/$$/research....ANYTHING.

That would about do the same thing; keep the cash flow OUT of the Dem camp, while picking the pockets of the taxpayers.

Never understood, OK...I’m not THAT naive, how the conflict of interest can stand. The ‘employer’ (govt) negotiating price (paid BY the taxpayers) against...itself. Seems legit to me! /s
