Germany’s open-door policy to refugees appears to be unravelling tonight after the country reinstated border controls to curb the overwhelming influx of migrants.
Europe’s top economy halted all trains from Austria and, in an historic move, temporarily suspended the open borders Schengen Agreement in response to the arrival of tens of thousands of Syrian refugees in recent days.
The decision marks a dramatic shift away from the current abolishment of passport checks throughout Europe's Schengen zone.
The Interior Minister did not specify how long the border controls would remain in place or give details of exactly how incoming migrants would be handled. He said there could be disruption to rail travel. Most migrants have been arriving by train.
Germany's national railway, Deutsche Bahn, said it had halted service between Austria and Germany for 12 hours at authorities' orders.
The rules of Europe's passport-free travel zone, known as the Schengen area, allow countries to reintroduce controls in exceptional circumstances, and the European Commission said that 'the current situation in Germany ... appears to be a situation covered by the rules.'

In addition, when we see things like entire freighters that are supposed to be carrying relief supplies...food, clothing, shelter, etc...for these people being found full of weapons. well, the answer to that is clear.
No, I believe there is a lot more to this than meets the eye, and I believe the plight of some people who are definitely trying to flee the violence is being taken advantage of for a far more sinister purpose.

Haven’t they learned by now that this only leads to a shortage of jobs and opportunity for all. Quickly followed by ethnic rioting and crime and a demand for “rights”

A 12 hour suspension of rail travel ... how brave. Germany and all EU countries need to get serious and as for the crowds storming the borders, turn them back with as much force as necessary. Europe cannot survive the size of this invasion and idiots like Merkel invited them in. The nationalist parties growing in member states, need to stiffen the backbone of their governments or replace them now.
America has so far been able to withstand an invasion of 20 to 50 million illegal alien “refugee” invaders. The Democrats’ beloved “Europeon Socialist utopia” can’t even take 300,000 of them. Doesn’t say much for the Democrats’ beloved “Europeon socialism”, does it?
