COBB, Calif. (KCRA) A fast-moving wildfire burning in Lake County exploded to 50,000 acres and has destroyed hundreds of homes, Cal Fire officials said.
Cal Fire spokesman Daniel Berlant said more than 100 homes were destroyed by a wildfire that exploded in size within hours. That number was updated into the hundreds Sunday afternoon.
Berlant said wind gusts that reached up to 30 mph sent embers raining down on homes.

You think God can't control a forest fire? Or stop it?
Just read the Bible. Interpretation is up to you.
lol oh I have. I also know what it says about thinking you know better than God.
Then theres heresy.
you assume God cares.
the fires are on the overall scheme of things too trivial to bother
Sure he can. Are you saying he didn’t in order to punish these sinners?

Your god is a very small god. Meet mine.
Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Fathers will.
What I SAID was: Anyone who knows who God is knows that He is in control. He doesnt set fires but He does allow things like this for His purposes. Do I know WHAT His purpose is? No. I dont need to. God is in control. Always.
You didn’t answer the question.
I most certainly DID! Read it again.

No, you deflected.
No, you can’t read. I said:DO I KNOW WHAT HIS PURPOSE IS? NO.
When did I say I know better than God?
You indicated the fire was Gods judgement on those people.
I’m wondering how you know that.
What did I write that made you believe I “indicated” that? I indicated God judges people/cities/nations. Do you disagree with that?
Bible Verses About Judgment 20 Scriptures to Study
You and several others inferred this was Gods judgement on California.
Shame on you, to see people who have lost everything and then to suggest it was a punishment from God. So terribly misguided and ignorant. Where is your grace? Your compassion?
You're absolutely correct, but only within this limitation: we may exercise our free will only to the extent that God permits us to do so. He could have prevented that person from starting the fire in any number of ways (illness, injury, death, others' intervention, etc.), or He could have put it out once started.
I'm reminded of the day I drove out to my girlfriend's parents home to ask for her hand in marriage. On the way I asked God to make me ill or break down the car if this was not His will; I never felt better and the car never ran better. Five days ago we celebrated our 37th anniversary, because God permitted us to exercise that free will.
Sometimes it is judgement. Sometimes it's because people need to turn to Him and don't do so until they need Him. He may have purposes other than those. I don't know why and neither does anyone else.
Bad things happen to good people but as I said, there's a purpose and God is in control. You are not and neither am I.
I am finding that there are a lot of people who don’t understand God. And if you try to explain they get “crazy”. :-)
I did not infer anything. I said God judges. If you disagree with that statement, that is your problem, not mine. Are natural disasters God’s wrath? I have no way of knowing other than what the Bible says.
Feb. 2008 Union University in TN was hit by a tornado. It is a Christian university that honors God. I have no idea why they were hit. A crane turned over in Mecca and killed a bunch of muslims. Again, I have no idea why.
