I am so glad you wrote about the financial crisis in September 2008. It is as if it never happend. No one investigates it or writes about it.
If anyone here as any information otherwise please let me know.
Swept under the rug is what happened. I believe it was Paulson, Bush’s Treasury Secretary, who told congress if the didn’t vote for the $900 billion bailout to rescue the economy, by Monday there would be no economy to rescue?
I think he was blackmailed. Something happened that week that we’ll never fully know.
Yep, TARP and the Democrat’s Stimulus failure should be 2 great issues for a candidate to address providing they are well informed to refute media/Democrats exertions they ‘saved’ the economy. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs never got off the ground, but sure got repeated
Klobuchar “This bill is about jobs, jobs, and jobs.”
Klobuchar “This is President Obama’s plan — jobs, jobs, jobs.”
Klobuchar “Mr. President, I ask my colleagues to support this important legislation. It’s about jobs, jobs, and jobs.”
Obama “Our plan will likely save or create three to four million jobs, Ninety percent of these jobs will be created in the private sector the remaining 10 percent are mainly public sector jobs we save, like the teachers, police officers, firefighters and others who provide vital services in our communities.”
Speaker Pelosi. Good afternoon. We just had a very instructive meeting with some leading economists about the number one subject on the minds of the American people: jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs.
Walzs(D-Mn) This legislation will create and save 3 to 4 million jobs, rebuilding America, making us more globally competitive and energy independent, and transforming our economy for long-term growth; give 95% of American workers an immediate tax cut; and invest quickly in the economy with 75% spent in the first 18 months. Whats exciting is that southern Minnesotans can benefit greatly from this strategy. Experts say more than 90 percent of the jobs created will be in the private sector.
One big con-job.
