I’m with you, Bro. Easy is better. I prefer the New International Version. I understand it’s written at the 7th grade level, so I’m able to understand it a little better.

I just never got the hang of all that Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew. I’m just a simple country boy.

Actually the NIV is more confusing (on purpose) than the good old KJV. For instance, in the NIV the word "Hades" is substituted for the word Hell something like 8 times.

Ask the ordinary person on the street what Hell is and they know right away, ask them what "Hades" is and they won't know for sure.

Hades was used in the NIV, because the Lesbian Virginia Mollenkott who helped write the NIV was offended by the word Hell, as well as the word sodomite, so she insisted that that word be changed also to 'shrine prostitute"

Sticking with the good old KJV and just getting more familiar with the English language would be a big help in your walk.

find a Calvary Chapel to attend. They go through the Bible verse by verse to teach what it all means; the root words and culture.
