I dont understand the situation. How long does it take to build a nuke? seems like they’ve been working on it for a decade or more.

I no NOTHING about the process.

Were the sanctions that crippling that they stopped progress?

Do they have them already?

Will Trump/Cruz arrive in time to stop them if they dont?

Will Israel do something?

It really depends on what type of device they're trying to build. If they have a good supply of uranium and a centrifuge castigates that up, they could build a Hiroshima style bomb fairly easily and quickly – perhaps in weeks time. After that, it's just a question of how it would be delivered.

Converting it into a plutonium pit for a deployable nuclear warhead, would take much longer (months to a year) and require reprocessing of the fuel rods. I believe they could accomplish this surreptitiously on their own or with North Korean assistance.
