The Michigan lawmakers at the center of a sex scandal at the Statehouse were forced out by angry colleagues early Friday morning, following hours of heated debate.
Rep. Todd Courser resigned his House seat at 3:12 a.m., according to the Detroit Free-Press, and one hour later Rep. Cindy Gamrat, his colleague with whom he reportedly had an affair, was expelled by the legislature on a 91-12 vote.
The moves came just a day after Courser apologized for the affair, as a 90-minute recording was played for lawmakers in which he asked his staffer to concoct a bizarre cover-up story alleging that he was a drug and porn addict who paid for sex with men.
The expulsion of Gamrat and forced resignation of Courser come one week after House investigators determined both lawmakers had lied about their relationship and their knowledge of the cover-up.

"It's an unfortunate chapter where we're at, but it's time to turn a page and go in a different direction and obviously heal, in my own house and in this body as well," Courser told the Free-Press Friday morning. "It's been hell."

Correction - She is a TPINO.
If they both are married then good to see them gone. They put lust over their families
As far as I am concerned, anyone that actually wants to run for public office is suspect.
I assume you mean hold it for the GOP, and not the adulterers.
Some poll in the recent past found that over 50% of married people admitted to having affairs. The men more than women, but the percentage of women was surprising to me.
In today’s moral climate, I don’t know why they didn’t just brazen it out and say, “It’s my private business that doesn’t affect my public business. Buzz off.”
With my limited experience in politics, if every politician who had an affair was kicked out, well, there wouldn’t be any more politicians.
This must have been a leftist rout of conservatives. Did it change the power in the State House?
Some sort of payback is happening here.
You have been Alanskyed.
You have been Alanskyed.
You have been Alanskyed.
“With my limited experience in politics, if every politician who had an affair was kicked out, well, there wouldnt be any more politicians.”
Like that would be a bad thing?
Alansky:
4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
Not a bad think but getting Alanskyed is not the manipulation of choices
Rule number 4
4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
Worth repeating
Buh Bye, Scum.
Well if your a REPUBLICAN...having an affair is taboo.
At least that's what the socialists would have us believe.
And if they all had to piss in a cup, can you imagine how many would be fired in the "public" sector?
There ought to be:
A drug test
An IQ test
A history test.
A test on the Constitution.
Failure in any one disqualifies.

Trans-RINO’s?
Talk about culling the herd!
They used "public funds" to hide their fling. (See this link.)
