CNN Senior Political Reporter Nia-Malika Henderson reports that Donald Trump is improving his standing with Republican women voters: For any other presidential candidate, making off-color and arguably sexist comments about a female competitor would likely result in an insurmountable problem with women voters.

Trump is popular with all segments of voters because voters have had enough of all politicians and their self serving lies. Trump is something else all together. What voters are really saying is, “Washington, Republicans, Democrats, we hate you and we don’t support you!” Till Trump there has never been anyone with a big enough microphone for voters to rally around and give unapproval to Washington and both parties too.
It is a disapproval movement, a protest election, voters see Trump as the destroyer of the politicians who never hear voters anyways.
Does this mean women care about secure borders, the VA, National Security, and Social Security?
“Dont you mean personality-gate?”
More precisely, “persona-gate”.
Those women supporting Trump are a good reason to take the vote back from women. How is that for non-PC, alpha male assertive opinion.
It’s like women are special, fragile creatures who can never have anything bad said about them. Like Megyn Kelly in the debates...”Oh, my God, Trump, you said this or that about women!!!” Well, has Trump ever said anything bad about a man? Certainly. But we are only supposed to get hysterical when he says something about a woman. Maybe GOP women are tired of this silliness.
Women like to be protected from crime. Criminal invaders is not their cup of tea. Women like the institutions that serve their families to be stable. Currently the public schools are over crowded and overwhelmed with the invasion. They like job security and the foreign invasion of cheap labor precludes income security and future prosperity. Combine that with foreign leaders buying off our politicians in trade deals that disadvantage America’s workforce and you have another big problem to solve for women.
Normal women like men to act like men. (sorry Jebster) They like men who project self assurance, power and success.
All the “we can’t” build a wall, control our borders and deport the invaders candidates should know that the “we can’t” campaign slogan is not winsome. As far as I can tell, none of them but Trump have taken on the problem of bad trade deals that are shrinking our economy and job security.
Jindal is not one who should be making fun of bad hair. His hair is very thin and stringy. But I don’t care about Bobby’s hair. I care about concrete ideas for America, determination and track records of success.
I really am not all that crazy about politicians making fun of one another’s looks. The contenders behind Trump have not even gotten their message heard by the public.
If they think they get ahead by trying out outTrump Trump, that’s a bad idea.
Good post. I’m not crazy about the looks potshots either.
Otoh, anyone who thinks conservatives, men or women, are going to vote based on one such comment is just not that bright. The fate of the country hangs in the balance. We’re circumspect enough to vote based on the largest issues and threats we face, not on which candidate wins the Miss Manners award.
You want to vote for a Christian who has never been divorced or probably has never said a single swear word, well we’ve had a President like that, his name was Carter.
Now that is a devastatingly good point. We’re not auditioning the next pastor of our local congregation (not that I think Carter would have been a good one; I’m partial to NON-anti-Semite pastors myself). At this point we need someone to haul the country by mainforce back from the brink. If the best man for The job has a vernacular bent, so be it.
Newsflash: women don’t like sissy beta males. The jerks get the girl because jerk is an alpha trait. Trump is as alpha as it gets.
Whether by accident or genius, Trump has tapped into "something."
