Could that get the writer in trouble? Did Trump have the writer’s permission to be quoted? Seems unusual but Trump has done this sort of thing before.

Well Trumps persona is to get people to look for an escape...so blaming someone else works. He knows this because he does likewise effectively...getting other people to check their steps and off his missteps. “The art o the deal I would guess comes into play...which isn't about the deal as much as keeping your opponent off guard so you can set the game..
