I am totally opposed to a Federal work permit, which is what this is.

No, it is a way to enforce our laws. You obviously don't know very much about e-verify. AZ made it mandatory (upheld by SCOTUS) and the results were dramatic. The illegals left in large numbers back to Mexico prompting a visit by Mexican legislators to AZ to ask for some relief. They were being overwhelmed by the illegals returning home.

Do you support the use of I-9s?

What in the hell makes you think that a guy who routinely enters contracts with promises to pay and then stiffs the borrowers will keep his promises to the American people?

LOL. You are again showing your ignorance about our bankruptcy laws. Do you understand why they exist and why businesses use them?

Yes, Trump undermines his position by allowing the "good ones" to return. But Trump never specifies the conditions for allowing them to return and in what numbers. As someone who has actually issued visas, the vast majority of the lawbreakers couldn't even qualify for a tourist visa.

Thanks to Jeff Sessions, Trump has produced the best immigration plan of any candidate in my memory. He needs to keep to the plan and not make impromptu remarks to water it down. He should respond to Jeb Bush, Cruz, Rubio, and the rest of the amnesty crowd who don't support deportation, by saying that the choice is not between mass deportation and blanket amnesty. There is another alternative called attrition thru enforcement. It works and we have the empirical evidence that it does.

Earth to kabar. It is an enforcement POWER not enumerated inm the Constitution.

I don't give a damn if it works. There are better ways to deal with illegals. I don't want the Federal government possessing an infrastructure capable of denying employment. What makes you think they can't change the determinant? Just attach a database of known patriots to e-Verify and VOILA! I don't want them to possess that unconstitutional power.

Do you support the use of I-9s?

No.

You'll gain something in our conversation once you realize that this isn't about what I don't know. It's about that I do know and don't like it a bit. The bankruptcy laws are legitimate. By Trump's dishonest manipulation of them, it's his CHARACTER that becomes at issue.

Or are you going to say "character doesn't count"? Where have I heard that before...

Do you understand why they exist and why businesses use them?

Having turned around a business on the brink of it, yes.

Yes, Trump undermines his position by allowing the "good ones" to return. But Trump never specifies the conditions for allowing them to return and in what numbers. As someone who has actually issued visas, the vast majority of the lawbreakers couldn't even qualify for a tourist visa.

LOL, and you presume to know what a huge employer of illegals thinks qualifies as "good"? Fool.

Thanks to Jeff Sessions, Trump has produced the best immigration plan of any candidate in my memory.

Words he can rescind on a whim, just like his promises to pay his creditors. See: "CHARACTER." You know what that means, don't you?

No, you don't. You think a lifelong Democrat changes his stripes in one meeting. Yet you ignore the signs of truth leaking from the Donald's lips. All you really have is wishful thinking for which you'll sell out a lifetime of consistency for what you want to hear.

One more thing about e-Verify. What in the hell makes you think the Federal government belongs in the employee credentialing business? Can't competing private entities do that job?

Imagine the power to deny employment in the hands of Commander Xero. Do you really think he wouldn't use that database to harm conservatives? This is why we do not allow POWER to accrue to government, because it is so easily misused. When this country was founded, THE PEOPLE WERE LAW ENFORCEMENT. My suggestion is we move in that direction once again. It would simultaneously improve our laws (because citizens would have to deal with them) and reduce tyrannical behavior by institutional law enforcement.

Think about it instead of just assuming someone who has been here fifteen years is stupid.
