Is this the sort of man that you want in the White House?

As one who's pro-South, it took me a while to warm up to Donald Trump since his New York brashness isn't part of Dixie mannerisms. As much as I prefer the Southern culture with its politeness, I have increasingly come to the side of Donald Trump. He speaks his mind without a filter and says the right thing. The attack on Carly FioRINO is justified since she's an evil abortionist and a vile statist. Whatever it takes. Insults, invectives, ad hominem are all on the table if it serves to save the Republic.

I mention this point primarily for Freeper stalwart (and sports fan) dfwgator in relation to this issue. Think of Nolan Ryan. He was a truly superb pitcher, a Hall of Famer, the king of strikeouts and had a great career. Yet, in spite of his impressive accomplishments, what's most recalled by even a casual fan is when he pummeled Robin Ventura, 20 years younger.

I see Donald Trump in a similar way. He's fearless and will take the fight to the enemy -- using all means at his disposal.

Insulting people to get laughs is "fearless?"

Actually, that's not true. I know of no one who has even brought up the Robin Ventura thing. Every time Nolan Ryan has come up, it has been everything but that.

I was told some years ago to never trust anyone who makes generalizations like you just did. It has seemed to work.

It is fear that makes him insult people. It is fear that makes him call questions about his lack of knowledge unfair. You sound like you see him as messiah. Politicians will always disappoint us, as William Rusher used to say. Trump will disappoint us more than any because his cadre of True Believers haven’t come to grips with the fact that he, too, is a mere politician.

“The attack on Carly FioRINO is justified since she’s an evil abortionist and a vile statist.”

In her 2010 California Senate race, Carly was pro-life with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. She was endorsed as “Pro Life” by Sarah Palin.

Carly’s has a stronger public Pro-Life record than Trump, who was publicly pro-abortion in the past, and supported continued funding of Planned Parenthood until yesterday.

As for being a statist, I do not know Carly’s positions, but I do know Trump supports the SCOTUS Kelo v. New London decision, and has sought the use of the state’s guns to seize other’s private property for his use.

Walter E. Williams argued right of an individual to own property is the first and most important individual right.

Now this is the classic Trump bot response. In just a few words, you managed to be illogical, hypocritical, inaccurate, and intellectually blind. Really amazing to cram all of that in. First, THIS side of Donald is not the same as attacking Jeb bluntly on policy or even personality. Then to defend it because Carly's evil, when the Donald has been in favor of the same damned things for longer than she has, shows the depths of depravity - of sheer hypocrisy or sheer ignorance - of your argument. And even so, you are wrong - this will HELP Carly, guaranteed. And probably at the expense of the Donald. So it's hardly saving the Republic.

CofA, SOTC, how do you like this piece of work?

Well, then, what exactly is Michelle Malkin? She's not pro-abortion, nor a statist, nor leftist in any way. In fact, she's a conservative stalwart.

In view of that, what justifies Trump's Twitter attack on her? He called her a "dummy", "born stupid", "a loser",and implied she had a shameful secret in her past. When she demanded he elaborate, he went silent...and stayed silent while his fangirls called Michelle an Asian prostitute.

In what way did all of that serve to "save the Republic?"
