In a new book, however, James Bond will be getting a dose of modern morality, as author Anthony Horowitz reveals the tricks he used to drag the spy kicking and screaming into the era of political correctness.
Horowitz, the writer of new Bond novel Trigger Mortis, said he had worked carefully to preserve Ian Fleming’s original character and ensuring his 1950s attitudes remained in tact.

People need to put things in their proper context.
Going by the film, it was obvious Scaramanga was more into humiliation of women, especially how he ran his gun over Maud Adams. The argument could be made that many of the Bond villains had sexual “issues”, perhaps all suffering from a latent homosexuality towards Bond.

Sir Roger gets skewered but look at the scripts he had to work with. I’m a HUGE Connery fan, but he had the cream of the crops, story wise to work with.

The entire Bond series should have been retired after Sean Connery said he was too old to play Bond. The movies have progressively gotten worse. When this goofy look short guy Daniel Craig was chosen to play Bond I knew the series was in it’s last days.......or should be.

Indy Jones: Wasn’t Shia Labouff (I don’t care how it’s really spelled) supposed to take over the franchise? Is Clay Aiken a worse choice than that?
Every time I saw the name, I always thought Shia LeBoeuf was Cosby’s eldest daughter on his ‘80s show. I doubt he’d be asked to anchor a major franchise after his weird (even by Hollyweird standards) behavior in recent years, dating that model with no eyebrows and making a creepy nudie short with her and starring his wang.
On what planet did the executives come from where they believed a child of Harrison Ford and Karen Allen would look like Shia ? Maybe Karen Allen and Wallace Shawn. Or two street vagrants.
Speaking of pickle-smooching, I recall seeing that photo taken of Brando in the ‘50s or ‘60s giving a “smooch” to one (published in recent years), which was enormously disturbing. Of course, Marlon had some major-league daddy issues.
I’ve always thought that pic was photoshopped.
