While there are many candidates in the race, Ted Cruz is the only one who has completed and returned the GOA presidential survey on the Second Amendment.
It sounds like they endorsed him because he completed and returned the survey. Just saying.
That is correct. And by doing so, he took their organization and their endorsement seriously, unlike the other candidates. One of the biggest mistake politicians at all levels make is not asking for someone’s vote or not seeking the endorsement from a group.

He already had a relationship with them .. as well as the NRA. Since they already knew him .. I’d say it was an easy choice for them.
