“Did you read Liberal Fascism?”

No, and I don’t plan on it. As you have read it, what is new that it would it tell me? That liberalism, socialism, and progressivism are intellectual handmaids to fascism and nazism? As practiced they’re almost indistinguishable? I came to that view 20 plus years ago. No point in going down an already worn and traveled road.

I like new ideas: what I’ve seen of JG to date doesn’t inspire.

I won't attempt to persuade you to read it - I was only curious if you had, and dismissed Goldberg based on the book as well as his work for NR. But since you haven't read the book, I'll conclude your view of Goldberg is lacking. And I stand with you on seeing him sorely mistaken in his view on this Trump business.

But to your other point, about not finding value exploring a premise you hit upon 2 decades ago, I will say that there are Cliff Notes, and there is the book itself upon which the Cliff Notes is based. Same goes for a power point presentation. Both are summaries of a premise. But history lives in the wealth of details and connections an author might make, even on a subject one is long familiar with, that perhaps opens new vistas. I found Goldberg's book just such a one, in that it is meticulously and exhaustively footnoted. But of course maybe none of it is new to you.
