“Train them WRONG...”
I started an 11 year run at the Anaheim Theme Park, as a temp, in night audit, filling in for a lady who was on leave. After four months, they disbanded the department, so one guy did exactly that. When the transition was complete, everyone, including myself, was hired in other areas, except for that fellow. Even people who had worked with him for over a decade, and liked him, were left with ill will towards him.
Now I have to agree, they were an awful company to work for, as soon as I saved enough to buy my first home, I left (on good terms) - NOTHING is as important as your good name, and he trashed his. Too bad, really.
Thank you.
My Dad worked in engineering for hotels. His job security was in how he installed and wired in equipment systems. He did the same when installing laundries in same when he was independent. He knew where all the bodies were buried so to say. He retired with full benefits and his widow, my Stepmom benefits from that today. He was grandfathered in on his plan from ITT when Starwood bought them out. Have to say the old guy truly beat the system. So grateful for this as my Stepmom is in Alzheimer’s care and the medical benefits regarding prescription drugs are worth so much more than the premium paid.
