The Constitution, as written, puts constraints on government via the Bill of Rights and the 14th Amendment. For instance the fedguv and now the states can have no religious test for public office. The local synagogue or the Knights of Columbus have no such constraints. It’s their religion or take a hike.

Private companies should be able to hire and fire for cause or no cause. Public accommodation be damned.
