“Where the hell is Trump?”

Trump never claimed to to be a Brim-and-Firestone conservative, and he is showing that on the social issues.

But I also think he would lose huge blocks of voters if he did what we’d like to see on these issues. In fact, Trump seems to be doing EXACTLY what the Republican Elites have demanded of candidates for decades now, which is to ‘ease off’ of the social issues, so as to appeal outside of the traditional (and, arguably, shrinking) base. Funny how they STILL oppose Trump.

But as I see it, it is a good move. Any support Trump loses by simply playing it quiet on social issues (note that he didn’t say that she deserves to be jailed...but only the Supreme Court has the final word on the law), Cruz as VP can get back for him.

For the country, once the Illegals are kicked out and the Republicans are taught how to fight back (i.e., a Trump presidency), then someone like Cruz will actually be viable to win the White House. As of now, that simply isn’t the case, whether we like it or not.

I see Trump paving the way for a center-right leader to come in. That is why it would not surprise me if it will end up being a Trump/Cruz ticket.
