If you ask around about Jim Messina in Washington, you will get an extremely wide range of reactions. Some believe he is brilliant; others think hes ruthless. But there is one impression that everyone seems to share: Jim is not afraid of anyone.
That isnt a bad prerequisite for Messinas next job. The 45-year-old Democrat, who organized Barack Obamas 2012 re-election campaign and this year orchestrated British Prime Minister David Camerons spectacular, nail-biting win, is now getting into German politics. Messina has agreed to a consulting job in Berlin: He wants to help the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD) beat Chancellor Angela Merkel of the conservative Christian Democrats in the next national election in 2017. [ ]
The new job will likely be highly challenging to Messina for a number of reasons. In Washington, DC and London, he campaigned for incumbents; in Berlin he will work for a party that very few believe has a shot at the chancellorship in 2017. Merkel, in her 10th year as chancellor, is extremely popular, and her party is polling at around 40 percent. [ ]
Messinas appearance in Berlin is also risky on a personal level. Germany is not comparable with the US when it comes to electoral campaignsit doesnt have the same data, money or room for maneuver. His reputation is hanging in the balance: Messina has never lost an election, said a close acquaintance.

Guess obama won even if labour lost then.
Without talk radio, without evangelicals, without African-Americans and race based politics, without a conservative philosophy but with Rinos.
Think of a place in which there is something going on akin to the Donald Trump phenomenon in America in which a populist movement is emerging stimulated by a very real and constantly reported refugee problem. But there are two factors to consider: first, the entire society has been preconditioned by the understandable re-action and revulsion about the Holocaust to be phobic about racism and is therefore conditioned to collect clothing and food and send it to Romania when they were in need and to accept refugees today when they see pictures of dead babies in the sand. This conditioning is more extensive than in America in my judgment.
Second, this "populist" movement is tainted and tangled with a peculiar and paradoxical admixture of leftism to the effect that America is the author of all the worlds problems (evidenced by the idiocy of George Bush especially in Iraq) and American deviousness is a Wall Street problem but Wall Street is controlled by Jews.
America's bringing the world to the brink of war with Russia over Ukraine and that is being organized by billionaire Jews on Wall Street. I say this resembles our populism in America if we simply subtract the anti-Semitic element.
This anti-Semitic stirring a very minority view but it is whispered about by my neighbors. They do not see European passiveness next to Islamic aggression in the mid-east, for example, as a contributing cause to the refugee crisis. They see George Bush's invasion of Iraq as the cause. They do not even consider Obama's precipitate withdrawal as an efficient producing cause.
I describe all of this to demonstrate that there is a whole different matrix of political alignments in Germany that we Americans do not understand. It is as though there were only a Democrat political party in America which shares power with Rinos and every issue is understood in that context.
Now comes a demagogue, Jim Messina, who follows the path of the Obama administration in interfering in the internal elections of our allies, such as happened in Israel without success, but which exploits the most base of motives of men, prejudices which progressives profess to disdain. Messina's contribution will be technological apparently, the question is whether they can match the culture to the numbers. Messina and the rats were very successful in doing that in Ohio and claimed the election against Romney there. They understood the culture. Just because one acquires access to data doesn't mean they can combine that successfully with the culture of Germany.
Does one see the irony here, the Americans who are blamed for the woes of the world because we allegedly meddled in the mid-East, are now meddling in the German election claiming that the problems which Germans believe are caused by Americans for meddling (not for leading from behind) can be cured only by removing Merkle because she is a puppet of America? It escapes everyone that just as Obama is trying to transform America, so is he trying to transform the world. He is nearly as opposed to German nationalism as he is opposed to American nationalism which he sees as the great obstacle to the one world socialist nirvana. The irony exists and will always exists with these leftists so long as the issue is never the issue.
Mussina might not have a deep understanding of the culture but he does have the devil's own insight into the dark side of the human psyche.
Anyone have a picture of Messina??
Yeah, with his playing both sides. Talk about a tangled web.
Obama doesn’t have as much control over that process as might appear on the surface. Take note that Bertelsmann flagship Spiegel is trying to paint it so.
OMG!! My GAYDAR is off the charts!!!!
I might believe Messina’s potential success with the SPD....if they had some Obama-like character sitting there. They don’t.
SPD is currently rated at around 26-percent of public support. Merkel’s CDU is sitting at 42-percent. The AfD folks who every felt would rise to ten-percent....are currently figured at around 3-percent. All results of the latest ZDF Politbarometer.
If you look at the top five national SPD ‘players’...Sigmar Gabriel is the only one given some thumbs up...but no one is really that enthusiastic about the guy. If the SPD had five or six big-topic items that they could sweep across the nation and capture support....then Messina would be the guy to press the buttons. But with a marginal candidate, and strictly immigration as the top topic....Messina will just bleed funding from the SPD and trigger some people to look over at the Linke Party for better prospects.
eeewwww...two gay guys hugging it out....yuk.
It just shows how truly evil the Illuminati are that a detestable woman who is willfully destroying her own nation by importing MILLIONS of Muslim savages....is STILL not radical enough for them.
Like intellectual vintage wine.
...would it be worth it for sh*ts and giggles, to oh-so-casually point out to a liberal acquaintance, the irony of the "America needs to stop treating the world like it owns the place" position, in light of Messina's OPEN interference in free elections? (Say, by suggesting that Sarah Palin, funded by the Koch brothers, gets sent to Israel and Germany?)
Cheers!
