We all want that, but realistically, even losers like Hitler campaigned on that kind of talk. He needs to have solid constitutional plans and preferably a constitutionally conservative record. I'm not yet convinced that his record is really that conservative. His record would seem to indicate some liberal leanings at times, and I've not yet made my mind up about what to think of him. The point is, however, that talk is cheap. You need to have actions, and consistent actions that back it up.
What about 50 trillion dollars? Is that too much? Your hypothetical question is just a diversion from your not so hypothetical "cuckservatism," a term I've been seeing posted around here and which I think fits, when it comes to the border. If you're not serious about stopping illegal immigration and limiting immigration, then you're not serious about conserving the nation. IOW, you're not as Conservative as you claim to be.

He wants the poor to be taken care of but he said it could be done by making deals with insurance companies and hospitals. I don’t know what he means by that so I will wait to hear more before deciding whether or not I agree with him.
However, immediately after Bush declared a wall can’t be built, he also contradicted himself by saying construction of a wall would cost “billions".
“If it was [built], it would cost hundreds of billions of dollars,” he insisted.
Bush’s calculations predict that each mile of border fence would cost at least $100 million to construct.
It appears Bush may have exaggerated the cost of the wall that can’t be built. Experience shows that walls are much simpler to build than spaceships and rockets, nuclear weapons, or a huge military. In fact, the Government Accountability Office concluded in 2009 that the most ambitious border wall under consideration would cost $5.1 million per mile.
Trump is a construction professional, and he predicts a lower cost than “hundreds of billions.”

Yes, border fences work. And that is exactly why the political class is so stridently intent on opposing the construction of a full double-layered fence or any effective barrier at the border.
The bipartisan open borders cartel is all in favor of discussing sundry forms of “border security,” especially if it will afford them the political cover to pass amnesty. But the one tangible form of border security they will never support, and in fact, pull out all stops to prevent, is the completion of the border fence.

Trump is a private contractor. This is a government job. If you think the government is going to do a better job than normal, I want to sell you a big dig in Boston.
So what are you going to do to SUCCESSFULLY change things right here right now if you won't support Trump and take another route? I'm waiting... There is an old saying in R&D that the problem, when solved, will be simple. This is finally getting pretty simple I believe. Anything else is becoming a diversion.

Oh you are talking about a fence and not a wall. OK That is a different matter. A fence can keep Mexican cattle out. A fence can keep several other indigenous animals from getting into the southwest, but a fence is going to get us right back to where we are now.

You are right. I have I lived life and read extensively. I don't need to read anymore about snake oil salesmen, I get it. When they come to town I let those people who want to purchase, purchase. In that regard I'm a libertarian.
I was surprised about Santorum’s tough immigration plans but I wonder how long he has had these beliefs.
I thought George W. Bush was a conservative until he showed his hand on immigration. He was deaf to us and only listened to the Mexican government even sending two of our border patrol to jail.
Illegal immigration is the key to the closet where all the skeletons are hidden. It is the key to corruption in government. God bless you Mr. Trump for taking our side for a change.
