With shackles around her ankles and waist, this is the moment the defiant Kentucky clerk who is refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses was led away from federal court - and taken to jail.
Kim Davis, 49, was told by U.S. District Judge David Bunning on Thursday that she would stay behind bars until she complied with his order to resume issuing the licenses to gay couples.
Donning a blue top and striped skirt, Davis, a thrice-divorced Apostolic Christian who works at Rowan County Courthouse, said 'thank you' before being led from the courtroom by a marshal.
She later insisted that she would not accept a compromise that would allow her out of jail. Attorneys for the plaintiffs had proposed to the court that Davis be freed if she promised not to interfere with her deputies. But Davis refused - noting her name would still be on the licenses.

I knew she was cuffed...did not know she was shackled as well...
It would be a fitting turn of justic if one day black robed jackboots like the judge were escorted out of a courtroom in shackles on THEIR way to jail.
I assume the Sheriff of San Francisco and other officials in “sanctuary cities” who refuse to turn over criminal illegal aliens will now be shackled and thrown into jail. But as Hillary Clinton says, the clerk has to obey the law and suffer the consequences of not doing so. What about the city officials in “sanctuary cities”, Mrs. Clinton??
Well she’s one of those dangerous criminal Christians, it’s not like she’s just some peaceful rioter or looter or something.
I hope that Christians can see that the groundwork is being laid for Christianity—at least Christianity worthy of the name, not the lukewarm kind-is being outlawed, and soon real Biblical Christians will be outlaws for our beliefs.

Stop and think...how far down we have become in what used to be America since the reign of the liberal millennials placed Obama in office and destroyed the freedoms once granted under the Constitution.
Freedom of speech, thought and actions has been wiped clean from our courts ranging from local to the Supreme court. We are now controlled by the “Thought Police” and things will not turn around for it is too late....a whole generation has been infected with the liberal brain disease brought to America from Kenya.
Or the gallows, it seems to me that many judges today are treasonous.
Stuff like this is exactly what I and others warned about with the lesser evil thing. Now there is only evil on our side of the fence and no one in power to oppose it.
Most so-called “Christians” will hate her and heap abuse on her because her actions reveal their own hypocrisy and moral cowardice.

I don’t necessarily blame the judge. In reality, the SCOTUS has placed him in the very same position as Davis. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the balls she does. Literally the SCOTUS has thrown law out the window. The supremes cannot make decisions against States when it is the States that really hold sovereignty over the Federal Government, and now “we the people” are left to sort it out and IMHO there is only one way that is going to happen, unless God and his Angels come to the rescue.
I hope one day he eats those words.
