People coming in on a visa are required to promise they will leave when their visa is up. Based on their representation that they will leave, they are let into this country for a defined length of time. Anyone who overstays, upon detection by law enforcement (there’s a laugh) needs to be fined, kicked out of the country summarily, and never, ever allowed to return. Period.

I cannot think of any endeavour where a 60% improvement would not be considered worth it.
I think the Israeli barrier was closer to $2 million per mile. It looks to be substantial, not just barbed wire. Perhaps land purchase pushes up the US version.
Even at $20 billion on a budget of 3.5 Trillion does not seem that frightening. As others have pointed out would likely quickly pay for itself (assuming defending a culture was not enough).
Build the wall.
But since it would likely take ten years; first shut the border.
That can be done on day two of Ted Cruz’s inauguration as President.
Guard troops could work with Border Patrol and seal it tight as a drum in a few days.
Also once the border is sealed; people will quit coming and it would take less man power.

I just viewed BOR’s interview w/this clown. As much as I don’t like the blustery BOR I had to laugh when he over-pronounced Jorge and it came out real fine-” WHORE-HAY”
I watched the whole clip and I can’t believe what a frikkin’ flaming a$$hole Ramos is. I had to laugh tho, the intensity of his replies and him constantly circumventing the interviewer to continually hammer his point home-right or wrong was baffling to witness.
He would do better in quitting his job at Univision -get into metrosexual rentboy mode and peddle his perfumes and clothing lines on QVC.
