Is she selling the New South or auditioning for a 2016 presidential campaign spot?
Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina is generating buzz that shed be in the mix for the Republican vice presidential spot in 2016, following her successful handling of the removal of the Confederate flag from the statehouse grounds after the shooting deaths of nine African-Americans inside a historic Charleston church.
Appearing Wednesday at the National Press Club, Haley teetered between deflective and receptive to the VP talk, at first dismissing it as a way-too-early political exercise, given that 17 Republicans are still elbowing each other to win the Republican presidential nomination.
Im not wasting any energy or any time thinking about that because Ive got too much to do, she said after her speech. Im trying to continue to heal the state, were trying to get back on track because we lost time, getting ready for a legislative session. . . . Ive got a son in middle school, I got a daughter whos a senior in high school, Ive a husband who just came back from Afghanistan.
That said, If theres a time where a presidential nominee wants to sit down and talk, of course I will sit down and talk, she added.
Since the Confederate flag debate erupted, Haley has seen her star rise on the national stage.

Fortunately, Willard has as much chance of winning the nomination as Linda Graham or of Erick Erickson being Trump’s Press Secretary.
South Carolina definitely needs an enema when it comes to many of its elected officials. Badly.
Back in 2010, the Tea Party was sick of Haley Barbour types running the legislature in Columbia. They decided to back a cute Indian woman to shake things up.
I believe I endorsed Atty Gen Henry McMaster in the primary. Stopping Andre Bauer was paramount.
Haley Barbour, Romney, Palin for Haley.
Huckabee for Andre Bauer.
McCain for McMaster.
There was a state senator for Bauer who tried to float birtherism on Nikki Haley, claiming she was not a Christian but a Sikh. Conservatives call him out and generating a sympathy vote for Nikki Haley.
I disagree, I think if Romney got in he could very well supplant Jeb as the GOPE favorite and therefore stand a decent chance at the nomination whether we like it or not.
No one would STILL be pining for a crapheel and proven loser like Mitt “Tom Dewey” Romney (as some GOPErs are) to jump in at this late stage if they were satisfied with Jeb and Kasich (and DOA Cristie Creme), those guys are sucking very hard.
But he’s not going to run or he would have already.
I don’t think Gary Condit’s Eskimo Bro would take too kindly to having the Establishment toss him over for Willard.
Bauer might have (or would have) lost to the rat if he had been nominated.
There was (checking: still is) a poster here who once called Jindal a “Pakistani Anchor baby” and endorsed the RINO Vance McCallister just cause Jindal backed the other guy. I’d have zotted him on the spot. People like that are just the worst, spewing garbage about Jindal, Cruz, and Rubio.
Thankfully I haven’t seen any of that lately, maybe I just haven’t been looking.
Did they for reals do the same girl? Or just go clubbing together?
Someone asked me if he and Gare gang-banged Chandra Levy, but I have no idea. We already know Condit was into really weird sexual stuff, and given that the two of them were very close and partied together, I have little doubt that they probably shared.
I remember John LeBoutllier wrote an article for Newsmax saying Condit was acey ducey and liked male hookers from the Caribbean. It was immediately taken down but is still out there.
I read stuff regarding Condit that couldn’t be repeated on this website publicly. Major-league creep.
