From Mike Allen writing at Politico:
A close associate tells POLITICO that Donald Trump plans to sign a loyalty pledge Thursday that would bind him to endorse the Republican nominee, and would preclude a third-party run. Trump made the stunning decision, which he has long resisted, to avoid complications in getting listed on primary ballots, and to take away an attack line in the next debate, the associate said.

Don’t think it was a mistake.
Trump is clever, he is betting he will get the nomination and when he gets the nomination the other candidates are stuck. . .why. . because the other candidates signed the same pledge and when Trump gets the nomination all those other candidates are required to throw their support to him because, after all, he will be the republican nominee.
Clever.
It is a invasion.
Now they are going to have to scramble to come up with another conspiracy theory.
I do not see a scenario where Trump does not get the nomination. Ben Carson, another non politician, is running second to Trump in all these polls. The establishment politicians are lagging far behind both of them. The Republican base has had it with establishment politicians. They are hungry for somebody outside the system to clean the mess up. They gave the establishment Republicans both houses of Congress and they did NOTHING.
Trump's enemies can spend a billion dollars on negative ads against him and it won't have any effect. The people supporting Trump (or Carson) are not going to settle for a Jebbie Bush, or a Rick Santorum or a John Kasich.
Put Trump and Carson's votes together and you have an epic mandate for change. A political earthquake of about 9.2 on the Richter scale. History is being made.
I thought about it some more and you’re right. He just partly covered his flank. We’ll never know for sure, but he probably cut a deal with the vipers in the rnc. Occam’s razor.
Jebito and the chamber of cronies are another challenge. But they were going to be anyway.
I still don’t understand what makes Snickers a more wholesome nutrient than any other candy bar. Personally speaking, give me a Payday bar.
You have a problem with Christian Conservatives on the Supreme Court? Sorry trying to follow?
A true Conservative would be pro life, pro family period
Nothing wrong with wanting to make sure Trump will appoint Christian Conservatives if elected.
whats so filthy about that? I am very excited about Trump, I just want to make sure he does not somehow appoint RINO`s to the Supreme Court.
I suspect before it`s all over there are going to be millions of Social Conservatives that are going to want this assurance from Trump, I dont think it`s a lot to ask or a insult, for the sake of God`s unborn children.
No, that's not what I said.
Interesting that people seem to want candidates to pledge to support the eGOP candidate, BUT, will everyone demanding that pledge also vote for the GOP candidate no matter what??
was meant only as a question, not an accusation
Indeed. Yes.
