Wednesday on his radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh discussed the backlash within certain conservative circles to the candidacy of GOP front-runner Donald Trump. Limbaugh specifically focused Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens, who unleashed a scathing attack in the Journal earlier this week aimed at Trump and his supporters.

That's a great way of putting it!
(I was thinking along the lines of a battlefield during wartime, where you need a medic to patch you up immediately in order to save your life, and you're not going to ask him if he is a surgeon, or what medical school he graduated from. If you don't get immediate first aid in that situation, there's a good chance you might not survive to use the services of a more gifted and credentialed surgeon later on down the road. You'll be dead. America needs "first aid", right now, and the usual RINO suspects are not certainly going to provide it, no matter what they promise.)
No. Not at all.
I agree and I join you in giving Rush a rest for a while and maybe longer.
I am surprised about how much I don’t miss him.
That isn’t chaos.
They aren’t entitled to exposure. And if they were hitting these issues early and hard like Trump, then they could be where he is.
You can have the best conservative resume in the world, but if you cant cut through the GOPe and media smokescreen, then that is there fault.
Besides the point. The fact is that neither is Bret Stephens, probably George Will, others who are on Trumps case, one of us.
Host of Obama dinner parties, George Will.
It goes to show how far to the left the GOP has gone and how tied up they are with corporate lobbyists.
Take the Iran deal. You can bet corporate money is lined up a mile deep for this on the GOPe side.
But is Trump really a convert?
In Canada, Conservatives are still called “Tories”, and wear the label proudly. Of course, we never had a revolution to break ties with British traditions.
I’ve been disappointed with the National Review guys for their snootiness towards the Trump surge. I know Limbaugh is a NR fan. I wonder if he’s said anything about them and their attitudes recently.
“O’Reilly isn’t as part of any list because he hates everybody.”
I don't give a rats ass about Trump either way. I just like the fact he's whacking the hornet's nest. What has pragmatism done for us?
We have 30 million immigrants and a hundred million citizens wanting their lives supported by big government, American values are not as pure as they once were.
Tories mean something very different in the USA although we understand the modern usage.
Actually, most of those people HAVE taken a conservative stand on one or more of those issues.
Maybe. But Donald Trump hasn't been saying what he's saying now for all those years. There's a legitimate fear that he's somehow going to let conservatives down or leave them holding the bag.
If you feel that the establishment has been doing just that for years, you might want to take the risk and leap into the dark with Trump. If you are actually part of the establishment, you'd probably be less inclined to bet on Donald.
Nudge nudge ;)
