When a transgender high school student in Missouri received backlash for her request to use the girls bathroom and locker room, she found one very important ally: the school board, which granted her permission to use the facilities.
According to Kelli Hopkins of the Missouri school boards association, 17-year-old Lila Perry has been granted her request because of recent guidance issued by the US Department of Education. While there is no policy per se on transgender students use of bathrooms, Hopkins said, there is a policy that says districts cannot discriminate against students based on their gender.
The Office of Civil Rights of the US Department of Education has said not allowing a transgendered student to use the restroom of the gender of which they identify can be illegal discrimination under Title IX because its based on gender. It is their position, Hopkins said.

the girls of schools like this need to take the law into their own hands
tar & feathering works great
Yep, just like that.
Yes. It was. I’d go w/o drinking any water for the day until I got home in the evening. Just so I wouldn’t have to go during the day at all.
The year after I left the city cops shut down a prostitution ring running out of one of the upstairs bathrooms at the end of a hall. Nothing much happened to the girls though, one of them was the niece of someone on the school board.
And it wasn’t a big city school. It was just about as rural small town south as you could get in the early 80’s.
We were a thoroughly middle-class area, with good test scores and occasionally a state-championship football team.
Right after he read about Bruce Jenner.
HE is bullying the school district and every female in the school. Expel HIM immediately. That gosh awful wig HE is wearing is a distraction which is against the dress code and another reason for expulsion. Every XX in that school should withdraw tomorrow morning. That will lose the school big time $$$$$$ from daily attendance. Their parents should get a class action suit against the state started.
who will take the girl with the skinny legs? (Joe Tex)
Take the one freak out of the mainstream, put him on an IEP and administer the mess through special ed. There he can get his own private bathroom time.
Far too logical and factual. Facts can be discriminatory now days...cognitive dissonance is our new national disease. That is why Islam makes the perfect religion for a people suffering this type of malady.
THat's not him. He's on the left.
I’m wrong. You are correct.
Wow. Glad I’m not in high school anymore.
No, the skinny guy is the faux-girl. You can see in the headshots how fake the wig looks on him.
Exactly.
But when the freak decides to cut HIMSELF or attempt suicide or actually does, the girls will be brought up on charges. Nope no one can say a thing these days that would in any way, shape or form cause the widdle snowflake to feel bad.
You are probably right. No more free speech. People need to be protected from speech because their negative reactions are not their own responsibility.
Forget “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.”
Now it is “Words are used as sticks and stones that must be stopped from hurting me.”
It looks like HE has more than just gender confusion and WHAAA LOOK AT MEEEE! disorder. HIS parents should have placed HIM in a facility a long time ago. HE’LL be 18 and then they’ll have no say.
Nor will you. These are the "rules," you know, like the "laws" that the courts make up. It's all "settled." In other words, the fix is in . . . and decency and normality lost.
To borrow from a comment posted on one of the original articles, “what this kid needs is a psychiatrist’s couch and not a lady’s room”. Makes me sick to think this is happening in my home state.
“So...has this guy been castrated yet or is he just a transvestite?”
He will always be a transvestite even if he mutilates himself; he’ll simply be a mutilated transvestite.
