Couldn’t the State of Oklahoma have just purchased a few of these kits from Canada to carry out the death penalty. many States are apparently having difficulty getting these and in Canada they’re giving them away. Why are we so certain that these drugs cause pain and discomfort to murderers but cause no pain or discomfort to the physically ill? Why not have a loner .38 special for Canadian doctors, that would be cheaper. If I decide to be euthanized can I have my doctor use my S&W 686 .357 mag.? No ones been killed by it before. Has anyone considered that it may be best for all involved including society as a whole to keep the terminally ill comfortable, hydrated, fed, and cared for until their departure? And to shoot or hang or otherwise dispatch those who have been condemned for their atrocious acts of murder and mayhem as soon as possible after sentencing?
Well if we start a policy of “to shoot or hang or otherwise dispatch those who have been condemned for their atrocious acts of murder and mayhem as soon as possible” there won’t be many politicians left in short order. Not that that would be a bad thing. But I don’t think the lawmakers will sign on to it.
