Ignoring the facts of science, and a know-nothing media amplifies the liar. Because they "like" him.

And part of this is a complicit media, who have declared that the Republicans are “anti-science”, while the good Democrats and liberals are “pro-science”.

It doesn’t matter what the actual facts are, what matters to them is the narrative that the Democrats are listening to scientists, while the GOP is Neanderthal in their approach.

There is no science on global warming. It is made up of whole cloth.

I’m not talking about genuine analysis of tree rings and ice cores. I’m talking about the junk science embraced and spewed by the UN’s IPCC to advance UN Agenda 21. Must be nice for the UN to have it’s own little staff of global warming alarmists to support it’s own plan to pack people in cities, depopulate the earth, and re-wild rural land.

I don't understand, the Exit Glacier in kinda out there, it takes a while to walk in and it's a long drive.

The Portage Glacier is right outside Anchorage, or the Mendenhall Glacier is isn't that far outside Juneau, you can drive to it. Even Glacier bay has plenty of glaciers.

Oh, that's right. Those are all advancing glaciers, not retreating ones. Silly me.

More likely deliberately disregarding science in favor of politics.

We need a leader equipped with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of eternal things, not limited by his/her academic pursuit of contemporary ideologies which have led us astray. Such a leader would have a grasp and love of the seedbed of ideas which preceded the Declaration of Independence. That individual would possess a view of the history of nations, and the path by which that unique band of individuals of 1776 and 1787 were empowered to set forth in plain language how individual liberty might be achieved and preserved under laws to protect them and posterity.

They did it individually, and as groups of faith, by trusting "Divine Providence," recognizing the "Supreme Judge of the World" and "Creator" and the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," and by themselves spreading those ideas freely in their homes, churches and communities, until their influence enlightened the world, allowing real scientific discovery and advancement.

Despair was not among their options for moving forward, and threatening conformity to a political ideology was not part of their strategy. Instead, they trusted the innate Creator-endowed intelligence and initiative of free individuals--all of which resulted in the greatest explosion of freedom, opportunity, creativity, prosperity and goods and services the world had seen.

We are correct in being deeply concerned about the prevailing counterfeit ideas of those who self-identify as "progressives." We must not, however, subscribe to the negative views of those who despair. To do so would betray a Reality greater than those so-called "progressives" who parade themselves as political "saviors," who, in their enormous arrogance, vainly attempt to deny freedom for expression and exercise of the rights of conscience protected by the same Constitution which limits their own power.

By their aggressive demands to limit free expression and exercise of ideas in the so-called "public square," they expose and reveal the dark under side of their ideology and its totalitarian intent.

America's Founders conceded no acknowledgement a divine right of kings or self-designated "rulers" to usurp power over their rights. Why would American citizens validate the "executive orders" of a mere elected official and his ideological sycophants as superseding their rights under the U. S. Constitution?

Let us become a people as courageous and trusting of Divine Providence as they!

C. S. Lewis seems to have described the "progressives" who inhabit the Administration of our government today: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C. S. Lewis

With all of their domination of academia and Far Left politics, these so-called "progressives" seem to fit into a category described by T.S. Eliot on Virgil:

"In our time, when men seem more than ever to confuse wisdom with knowledge and knowledge with information and to try to solve the problems of life in terms of engineering, there is coming into existence a new kind of provincialism which perhaps deserves a new name. It is a provincialism not of space but of time--one for which history is merely a chronicle of human devices which have served their turn and have been scrapped, one for which the world is the property solely of the living, a property in which the dead hold no share."

Without intellectual anchoring in the enduring ideas which provided the philosophical foundation of America's Declaration of Independence and Constitution, their vain imaginations of superiority only expose their limited world view. Yet, the America which rose from obscurity to greatness, from crude hoes and axes to putting a man on the moon, and from oppression by King George to a symbol of liberty for millions all over the world--that America provides shelter for today's "progressives," even as they attempt to "change" her into something unimagined by the Founders.

Note that a lot of these “global warming” scientists are the very same ones who were chicken-littling “the coming Ice Age” back in the ‘70s. There was going to be falling lake levels, depopulation of northern climates, mass starvation...

Same people, same agenda: more government ccontrol of our lives.

Q:“What % of the atmosphere is CO2?”

A: the total anthropogenic CO2 emission throughout human history constitutes less than 0.00022 percent of the total CO2 amount naturally degassed from the mantle of the Earth during geological history

Q: “What % of CO2 is manmade?”

A: Just 3.4% of all naturally occurring CO2

Q: “How much does the atmosphere weigh?”

A: 6 quadrillion tons

Inquiring minds want the left to explain to us how just 0.00022% CO2 can cause global climate change-

IF they can’t answer this- then they have NO business voicing their ignorant opinions on the issue

2. What Will New Measures Do? Obama hasn’t given Americans, or the world, an answer to perhaps the most important question: what kind of impact will global warming measures accomplish?

It seems to me that if there is climate change on the warming side of the equation, once called global warming, that we should discuss the benefits of warming to mankind. Will there be longer growing seasons? Greater food production? Lower food costs? Any other benefits? What are the benefits? What are the savings of those benefits?

This is the weakness of non-science. There isn't a full discussion since politics, money, special interests, and global government control the discussion. It is anti-American. It is defeatism.

Americans used to convert real problems into opportunities.

Why not plan for wheat harvests in Alaska, or massive dairy farms in Alaska? Canada could do the same further north than they do today. In fact every nation in the extreme north or south could do the same. Slightly warmer growing seasons in the extreme northern and southern latitudes, combined with the sunlight of long summer days would have extreme productivity and yields.

If global warming really exists then what opportunities exist for northern most states in the lower 48? Is there a dynamic that is beneficial to southern states? Does it solve the problem of growing so much food in California in areas that used to be desert prior to any knowledge of global warming?

We all know this is a cause of the left for ideological reasons. It would help if I could find an article that explains to the common folks (like me) the “why” of the environmentalists’ push and directly addresses how it fits the globalist agenda.

Yes the glaciers are melting and the sea is rising, just ask the late residents of Dogger Banks. If only they had stopped buring coal and driving SUVs:
