The former Florida governors poll numbers are in a tailspin. Can he come back?
In December, Bush famously contended that the Republican nominee must be willing to lose the primary to win the general [election]. But the notion that GOP presidential nominees lose nationwide when they position themselves too far to the Right during primaries isnt borne out by the data, and primary voters arent frightened of Trumps lackluster showing in general election polls at least, not yet.
If Bushs poll numbers remain lousy and his debate performances fail to improve, people may wonder where his campaign is going. The Jeb weve seen in recent weeks soporific in his body language and unable to muster a response to Trumps rise isnt going to climb back to the front of the field. To win the nomination, hell to have to become a better candidate between now and when Republicans start casting primary votes.
Trump has put all other GOP candidates in the same blender they are all indistinguishably small, concludes Castellanos. At some point, one of these boys or girls is going to have to step up, have a big alpha-dog battle with Trump and seize this race by the throat. Kill the king, become the king. The next debate seems as good a time as any to me.

Jeb should have fought hard and to the death for the Troopers who served under his brother. Those Troopers fought for the United States of America. Those Troopers deserved Jeb’s loyalty. He should have said, The mistake was voting for Obama. My brother won the war, as Biden has said. Obama lost the peace. The mistake was electing Obama. Obama gave birth to ISIS. ISIS is now at our gates and Obama is doing NOTHING. The greatest movement of people from the Mid East to the West is happening now. And Obama is doing NOTHING. Iraq is not my brother's mistake. Iraq is Obamas mistake. Obama is America's mistake.
I could have voted for a man, a brother who said that. If Jeb is not willing to fight for his brother, is he ready to fight for our country?
And that’s another thing: No More Bushes.
Stay out of them Bushes.
We don’t support dynasties in America.
It’s My Time Bush. Same as Romney, Dole, McLame. ENOUGH
It should have told the campaign “experts” something when he took a week to make up his mind as to what he thought of his brother’s Iraq War. I’ve known my position on it since before it started; most people either stayed with or changed their views on it during the course of the war. Its been over for what, five or six years, the consequences are evident. Who wants as President someone who has five different positions on the Iraq War in five days?? If he is that wishy-washy on a past event of this magnitude, what could we expect in the future? The male version of Hillary Clinton??
The Beatles sang it right...”Money can’t buy you love!”
Adios!, El Jebe!!
That $100 million the Jebster has pulled out of pockets of contributors buying future favors for cheap labor have bet on the wrong horse and it goes to prove how out of touch the GOPE is with main stream America.
The GOPe is counting, once again, on its ability to fool the base into voting for false promises and outright lies. We have seen this movie before and are not going to pay to see it again.
If the GOP wants to start the process of restoring voter confidence then it should act immediately to remove Boehner and McConnell from their leadership positions. That would be a good first step toward rehabilitating a soulless party.
They are indeed a dying breed, but some are still around. I talked to one at a wedding last weekend, he was a retired GM worker, union man all the way. Someone teased him about voting for H. Clinton and he laughed and said he may have to vote Republican for the first time since he voted for Reagan. He did not say who he might vote for, but yes the Reagan Democrats are still around for a few more years.
Jeb is the one who said “The era of Reagan is over” - remember?
They existed pre-Internet.
From what I’ve observed among my acquaintances who may have been “Reagan democrats” at some point - is that liberal propaganda sites like Media Matters - Huffington... Etc.
This keeps them from wandering back over.
El Jebe is counting on an 'Operation Chaos' strategy of 'Rat primary voters crossing over to vote for him in states with open primaries. This assumes that the Hildabeast has the 'Rat nomination locked up, which is by no means a certainty.
The best we can hope for is for HRC to be so weakened by the email scandal that the 'Rat field expands, with Slow Joe and Fauxchahantas potentially getting in the race. This will keep the 'Rats on their side of the fence where they belong, and greatly diminish Jeb's support on the GOP side in open primary states.
Very well-stated. Thanks. BUMP!
Well, we are talking about the primaries, right? THeoretically, only registered Republicans will be voting in them.
Theoretically, that is.
Jeb Bush is an incredibly boring individual.
jebBlue!
All the posters are excellent.
Really like the 1st one.
Jebs Sudden Free Fall
This implies he was at the top at some point. Maybe in NRO’s wet dreams.
